Faircrest Heights

Faircrest Heights is one of the most established and prestigious pockets in Alta Vista, with some of the nicest homes and lots in the neighbourhood.

This is an area where the street itself can have a major impact on value. Certain parts of Faircrest Heights feel much more private, mature and estate like than others.

You generally see larger lots here, and in many cases the land is just as important as the house sitting on it.

The housing stock is varied in a good way. There are older original homes, beautifully renovated properties, substantial additions and complete rebuilds throughout the neighbourhood.

Faircrest Heights tends to attract buyers who want the Alta Vista location but are looking for something more substantial than the typical post war bungalow.

Privacy is also a big part of the appeal. Mature trees, deeper setbacks and larger yards can make some properties feel surprisingly secluded considering how central the neighbourhood is.

This is also one of the Alta Vista pockets where I would be careful relying too heavily on price per square foot. Lot quality, street, renovation level and the overall feel of the property can matter significantly more.
